Grants of up to £25,000 are available for businesses who re-locate to Stoke on Trent and the North Staffordshire area.
The Reroot business relocation grant was launched last May for Stoke-on-Trent firms but will be extended across North Staffordshire from next month. Now the district council has joined forces with Newcastle Borough Council and Stoke-on-Trent City Council to urge employers to seek funding if they need to relocate.
Councillor Andrew Hart, district council portfolio holder for regeneration, said: "The Reroot grant is great news for businesses that need to move and great news for the council because it will help us achieve our priority outcome of a strong economy. "I am right behind the grant because it complements our own work to support the local economy in ways such as providing employment units, organising business seminars and awarding grants of our own."
The Reroot grant is administered by regeneration firm Renew North Staffordshire and the money is provided by Advantage West Midlands.
